At ELSA, we cherish and encourage diversity and inclusion in our community. Each of us is unique, with our own talents, wisdom, and stories that inspire and uplift one another. As we welcome June, we also celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month—a reminder that our sexual orientation, among other aspects of our identity, should be celebrated and never discriminated against.
Although ELSA is still under construction and not yet open for guests, we want to share our values and commitment to creating a safe space for everyone. ELSA will be a place where you can feel welcome, whether enjoying the privacy of your apartment with stunning views or gathering in our wellness and community areas to relax and connect with others.
We are excited to celebrate Pride Month with you next year when ELSA opens its doors! Together, we will build a community where everyone feels at home and valued.
Origins of Pride Month
LGBTQ+ Pride Month is celebrated every June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots, which occurred on June 28, 1969, in New York City. This pivotal moment in LGBTQ+ history reminds us of the ongoing fight for equality and the importance of celebrating our diverse identities.
